Three Rivers is a city in St. Joseph County.
Three Rivers derives its name from the confluence of the St. Joseph River with its tributaries the Rocky and Portage Rivers.
Three Rivers is home to the St. Gregory's Abbey, a Benedictine monastery of the Episcopal Church that was established in 1946.
Famous Three Rivers residents include: Neal Ball - the first baseball player in Major League baseball history to pull off an unassisted triple play, Blondi Bee - adult actress, Harry Blackstone Jr. - magician, Charles Collingwood - reporter and television news correspondent, Joe Gherna - baseball player for the Minnesota Twins, and Matt Thornton - baseball player for the Chicago White Sox.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 4.7 square miles, of which, 4.5 square miles of it is land and 0.2 square miles of it (5.06%) is water.
