Rome City is a town in Orange Township, Noble County.
The most prominent property in the area, now called Sylvan Springs (formerly Kneipp Springs Sanitarium), is on a natural mineral water spring, considered to have curative healing powers. It is now used as a sports camp for children and pilgrimage site.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 2.2 square miles, of which, 1.2 square miles of it is land and 1.0 square miles of it (45.16%) is water.
