| In The News ... Bass Lake Golf Course, Knox, Indiana
As one of the oldest golf courses in the Michiana Area, Bass Lake Golf Course has witnessed many generations of Michiana golfers fine-tune their game. However, the real history of Bass Lake Golf Course is more recent.
Rudy DeSabatine, an excavator working closely with area courses such as nearby Chesapeake Run Golf Club and Mystic Hills, was so taken with the area's courses that he and his wife Cindy purchased Bass Lake Golf Course in December of 2006. This is when the history of Bass Lake Golf Course begins anew.
Building upon the more than eighty-year history of the Bass Lake Golf Course, Rudy and Cindy were determined to combine yesteryear's value with the conveniences of today; and they are succeeding!
The Golf Course greens were refined along with replanted fairways, and an irrigation system was added. Rudy's excavation skills came-in very handy improving drainage for the course. Cart Paths were also rebuilt.
Rudy and Cindy remodeled the Clubhouse -- with the Bass Lake Restaurant & Bar changing sides with the Pro Shop, and in doing so, created more than enough additional space to add a Banquet Room for special events. The Bass Lake Restaurant, serving both Lunch and Full Dinner Menus, has great food, a wonderfully friendly Staff and where you can always be sure their Bar is fully-stocked!
The Bass Lake Golf Course amenities include riding and pull carts, club rental, a putting green, an on-course restroom, and an expansive Pro Shop. Greens fees are very reasonable and the Staff is always willing to assist.
The Bass Lake Golf Course conducts Men's/Ladies' Leagues, Tournaments, Weekend Events, and many Fundraising Outings.
Bass Lake Golf Course is located just a few miles south of Knox, Indiana on the west side of Bass Lake, in Starke County, Indiana.
We encourage you to visit the DeSabatines' Bass Lake Golf Course and enjoy its rejuvenation ... as well as to be a part of its "new" history.
